[https://www.greatplacetowork.com/certified-company/1269724] Position Summary: * Provide trade compliance-related expertise and compliance project leadership in order to meet the needs of MGTA customers. * Provide support for import compliance program needs for clients as assigned. * Lead Global Trade Management projects, as needed, to ensure the highest levels of delivered services. * Perform training for MGTA clients, as requested, along with other related duties.   Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Tariff Classification: * Research Part Specifications * Review customers’ engineering systems * Contact customer engineers * Conduct Internet searches * Review Harmonized Tariff System  * Evaluate chapter and section notes * Site General Rules of Interpretation (GRI) * Assign classifications and provide/document supporting data * Document Classification Determination  * Determine rationale behind classification * Provide/identify information source (i.e., system, engineer, website) from which the product specifications were obtained Potential Additional Responsibilities: Post Summary Correction (PSC) and Protest Management: * Entry preparation and submission through CargoWise(PSC/Protest) * Complete CBP inquiries to determine status of filed PSC and protests * Refund Tracking and Distribution FTA Qualification & Solicitation: * Analyze product data and supplier documentation to determine eligibility under applicable FTAs (e.g., USMCA, CAFTA, EU FTAs). * Coordinate with suppliers to obtain necessary origin documentation and declarations. * Maintain records of FTA qualifications and ensure audit readiness   Education: * Bachelor’s degree in international Trade, Business, Supply Chain Management or other field preferred * Licensed Customs Broker or minimum 5 years of import experience including knowledge of: * Import Harmonized Tariff System (HTS) and classification (2 years) * Experience preparing and submitting Post Summary Corrections and Protests to CBP Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Knowledge of US Customs regulations and compliance procedures * Knowledge of Other Government Agency (OGA) regulations related to import compliance * Working knowledge of the Harmonized Tariff System (HTS-US) * Knowledge of Export Control Classification Numbers (ECCN)and Schedule B classifications * Excellent writing, communication and presentation skills * Highly organized * Process oriented * Ability to work with individuals in a team structure * Ability to work with clients and represent MGL/MGTA in a highly professional manner * Working knowledge & capabilities with standard desktop computer tools (MS Office) * Advanced skill level of MS Access and MS Excel preferred * Visio experience * Working knowledge of customs compliance database tools and software * Working knowledge of CargoWise * Familiarity with third-party trade compliance tools Mohawk Global is an equal opportunity employer.
