The Project UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the ~140km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.4bn, includes delivery of new 500kV double circuit transmission lines spanning ~140kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. We are looking for Electrical Trades Assistants to join our substations team at our Gugaa substation in Wagga Wagga, NSW. This is a either local opportunity, or FIFO/DIDO on a 19/9 roster. What will a day in this role look like: Assist tradespeople with substation works Hand tools to tradespeople, and hold tools not immediately required; Perform assembly and dismantling operations, such as screwing and bolting; Obtain store supplies necessary to complete a set task. This includes both materials and suitable tools Transport tools, materials and work pieces to and from sites or workbenches; Qualifications And Experience Required: • White Card • Drivers Licence • High Risk Work Licence – Work Platform • Working at Heights/Confined Spaces • High risk work licenses for EWP, forklift or telehandler (Desirable) • Experience working on a substation project - desirable We are an Equal Opportunity Employer. Responsibilities

The Electrical Trades Assistant will primarily assist tradespeople with substation works, including handing tools and performing assembly and dismantling operations like screwing and bolting. Responsibilities also involve obtaining necessary store supplies and transporting tools, materials, and work pieces to and from work areas.
