· Trade Assistant – Shutdown · Shutdown Contract | August–September 2026 · Site-Based Role – Curtis Island (GLNG) UGL Services is seeking experienced Trade Assistants to support shutdown activities at the GLNG Facility on Curtis Island. These are short-term, site-based roles within a high-performing LNG environment. Candidates with strong shutdown experience and a commitment to safety are encouraged to apply. About the Role You will support trades and maintenance crews during a critical shutdown period, assisting with mechanical, operational and general site activities to ensure safe, efficient and timely completion of work scopes. Key Responsibilities Provide hands-on assistance to trades during shutdown activities Support equipment maintenance, cleaning, preparation and tool handling Assist with site isolations, setup and pack-down of work areas Follow permit systems and adhere to strict safety protocols Perform general labouring duties as required across multiple work fronts Maintain housekeeping standards and contribute to a safe work environment About You Previous shutdown experience within Oil & Gas, LNG, Mining or Heavy Industry Strong safety focus and ability to work in a high-risk environment Reliable, team-oriented and able to follow direction Available for full shutdown duration with flexibility for day/night shifts Required Competencies Current Forklift Licence Elevated Work Platform (EWP) Working at Heights Atmospheric Gas Testing Shutdown Roster 12-hour shifts 13 consecutive days on Day/Night rotation Commencing 3 August 2026 through to approximately 1 September 2026 What’s On Offer Competitive shutdown rates Opportunity to work on a major LNG facility Strong team environment with a focus on safety and performance Gain valuable shutdown experience with a leading services provider
