Job Description PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES The Trade Centre Team Supervisor will be responsible for reporting relevant information for decision making process to Trade Centre Manager. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Drives continuous improvement of processes and controls to improve service levels and efficiency Analyse and resolve complaints, identify root causes, and find sustainable solutions Control, provide support and follow-up to the execution of the operational process of Trade Centre Coordinate with the Trade Centre Analysts on all the operational activities related to Trade Centre Interacting with key accounts to ensure high customer satisfaction and service quality Serving as liaison between SGS and client, providing / addressing all client needs Ensuring CoC Issuance as per country standards Review the daily operations (received, in process and for issuance) for follow-up to ensure files are process in a timely matter Monitor Trade Centre operations so they are in compliance with the key performance indicators Assist and provide solutions to the Trade Centre staff in regard to problems with files and those of the network Assign the distribution of accounts to the Trade Centre staff, based on previous analysis of technical necessities Prepare the WIP reports to ensure that the corresponding contract operations in the network are processed in a timely matter Contacting with trade for resolution of discrepancies, requests for additional information. Monitoring and resolving Blocking Actions under TC/SA role and follow-up with the trade for capturing of missing information for CoC processing, ensuring timeliness of certificate issuance Follow up with LO / Exporter for acceptance from importer / authorities of importing country in case of discrepancies observed during certification process Ensuring that proper CoC replacement procedure is followed when exporter reports CoC loss. Complying with Quality Management System procedures as well as IVP rules, Country Instructions, and other relevant instructions Assist in the maintenance of the Quality Management System Handle day to day operations in a timely, complete and proper manner Prepare regular job status report and communicate to Trade Centre Supervisor Manage timely trouble shooting and assist customers as necessary Identify, act upon and follow up client reported issues and inform the sales, operations and KAM teams as appropriate Proactively keep in touch with the client base to strengthen relationships and ensure retention Exceed regular service level and provide extra-mile support Ensure all training registers are completed by TC team with regards to all training Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager Qualifications Education Grade 12 Relevant University Degree or equivalent professional Qualification – and/or 3 years proven experience in the sector or within the company in the functions, knowledge, skills and experience sufficient to be recognized as a qualification through Recognition of Prior Learning Experience Minimum 2 years trade experience in import / export business Experience in SGS TFS services is an advantage Valid driver’s license & reliable vehicle REQUIRED SKILLS Decisive, assertive, results and customer oriented Focused on operational and financial results Familiar with management statistical analysis Good communication skills Fluent in English and any other language are an advantage Applies judgment and acts according to the SGS standards of ethics and integrity Demonstrated effective organizational skills including prioritizing and managing multiple tasks Focus on detail and accuracy of information Analytical problem solving Teamwork and cooperation Additional Information COMPLIANCE & AUTHORITY Cease the use of any equipment that may be deemed to constitute a safety hazard or enter hazardous environments without the necessary knowledge and protection and report the situation to higher authority to take action. Responsibilities
The Trade Centre Supervisor manages daily operations and coordinates with analysts to ensure timely issuance of Certificates of Conformity. They are responsible for driving process improvements, resolving client complaints, and maintaining high service quality standards.
