We are currently looking for a Trade Compliance Analyst II to join our growing Trade Compliance group in Prague.
Be part of a team where you will use your knowledge and trade compliance background in a cross-functional manner, with emphasis on import and export trading. This will involve day-to-day communications with brokers and Honeywell suppliers, in addition to collaborative work with internal teams and divisions. Key to this role will be ensuring compliance with import laws and regulations, preparing and reviewing trade documentation, and the analysis of import/export data.
Trade Compliance Analyst Responsibilities:
- Work cooperatively and proactively across all functional areas to ensure compliance with all import laws and regulations, including determining importer and exporter of records, country of origin and origin marking, and assignment of tariff codes.
- Act as the key trade focal with sites, vendors, and suppliers in terms of Customs matters, including training and awareness programs.
- Develop and implement trade compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to import and export regulations.
- Conduct internal audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain special customs regimes (Bonded Warehouse, Foreign/free Trade Zone, Civil aircraft relief, Temporary Imports, Inward Processing Relief, etc.).
- Analyze and determine eligibility for certifications under Free Trade Agreements and Trade Preference Programs for imported good.
- Investigate and prepare draft responses to Customs inquiries and notices.
- Collect and analyze import and export data and support a recordkeeping program of the entry packages.
- Stay updated with changes in trade regulations and communicate the impact to the organization, ensuring compliance with new requirements.
- Support any Customs Compliance development.
- Make sure monthly trade reports (import and export) are sent to Honeywell.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent (higher professional school).
- Minimum of 3 years’ working experience in customs trade compliance.
- Strong knowledge of import and export regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- Supply chain knowledge, either from education or work experience.
- Advanced user of MS Office suite.
- A team player who enjoys working in a highly collaborative environment and has a high attention to detail.
- Knowledge of SAP GTS.
- Ability to travel.
