Job Summary
Job Position Title: Trade Compliance Analyst
Immediate Superior Position: ACIM Trade Compliance Manager
Area: Legal
The Trade Compliance Analyst will manage the operational needs pertaining to NGANA’s Import and Export regulatory requirements. This includes running the HTSUS classification process, maintenance of NGANA’s HTS database on GTM platform “CIMS”, answering customs broker requests and maintenance of regulatory information in SAP.
This role supports with information collection and analysis for internal and external stakeholder KPI’s, and prepares this information as well as Trade data for the Trade Compliance Coordination.
The position is also responsible for supporting customs entry audits and PSC’s, ensuring that NGANA’s declarations to CBP are accurately reported by all customs brokers.
TC Analyst will support CTPAT by way of assisting with remote audits through “ES Compliance ‘’ and on-site audits as needed. TC Analyst will also research and provide inputs to NGANA’s annual Security Profile by way of Risk Assessment development and collection of verifiable evidence for CBP.
This key role also assists with production of global training material on various topics within the Trade Compliance and CTPAT space.

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum educational requirement: BS or equivalent professional experience
Experience: 1 to 2 yrs data analysis and multinational experience in trade compliance, logistics, customs brokerage or trade law
Hard Skills: Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint, GTM software, SAP, ability to travel

Job Description
The Trade Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting Trade Compliance import and export activities. This position actively participates in supporting and auditing Trade Compliance programs and rolls out project metrics reporting, training and site auditing.

Responsibilities

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Trade Compliance
Track U.S. and Canada customs broker performance KPI’s
Review ACE import/ export data weekly to screen for anomalies
Review ACE Census Warning and CBP Inspection reports monthly
Maintenance and monitoring ACE account for CF28/CF29’s
Customs activity data and trend analysis
Monitor Customs Entry exceptions in Allyn platform
Request and confirm post entry corrections on entry errors with follow up through completions and recordkeeping update confirmations
Drive receiving discrepancy resolutions and ensure compliance according to findings
Owner of HTSUS classification process for NGANA product portfolio and update Allyn Platform HTS database
Maintain calendar to track and ensure timely related part declarations, customs bond renewals and customs broker POA’s (U.S. and Canada)
Day to day customs brokers live shipment customs broker requests via Allyn platform
Maintenance of SAP’s DMS (Document Management System) of all Trade Compliance and CTPAT Processes
Coordination of supplier invoices and other account management housekeeping
Systematic (BRO) processing for new item creation and material master extensions
Support Trade Compliance audit activities with data, document and evidence collection and analysis

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assists in managing the daily trade compliance operations for import and export transactions by working with the customs brokers and freight forwards to ensure timely clearance
Assists the Trade Compliance Operations Manager in conducting import and export compliance audits and review and implement corrective actions
Assist the Trade Compliance Operations Manager in preparing and providing periodic metrics and KPI reports for import and export operations
Maintains master Country of Origin and classification database
Assists Trade Compliance Operations Manager with the audit import/export programs and the development of countermeasures and action plans for compliance improvements.
Analyze data from ACE reports for errors and anomalies.
Works with Procurement, Regulatory and R&D to collect and manage trade related information to accurately classify shipments, obtain certificates of origin, and collect information pertaining to assists.
Gathers information to audit brokers and freight forwarder activities. Audit Customs entries for accuracy and comprehensiveness. Work in conjunction with the Trade Compliance Operations Manager and other team members to resolve errors found in entry audits and prepare corrective action plans to avoid future errors.
Assists Trade Compliance Operations Manager to Implement and maintain a document retention program regarding trade compliance for import and export activities.
Assists Trade Compliance Operations Manager with developing and maintaining Import and Export Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) based on applicable governmental regulation and SOP template.
Develops and provides training and assistance, as directed/needed by Trade Compliance Operations Manager, to relevant departments and local plant import and export compliance associates.
