Description:

Our client, a leader in the healthcare industry, is seeking a high-caliber individual to drive compliance activities and strategies aligned with trade regulations and policies in the APAC region. This role will ensure adherence to company policies and government regulations while managing the flow of international trade.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • At least 10-15 years of logistics trade compliance experience in medical devices or pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong understanding of Trade Compliance principles
  • In-depth knowledge of Customs regulations, import/export regulations, and international trade requirements
  • Ability to translate strategic vision into innovative solutions
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills; experience in risk management and gap analysis
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills in the APAC region
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to present effectively at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Team-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Experience with databases, enterprise resource planning, and global trade automation solutions
  • Skills in implementing and maintaining Supply Chain Security

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee trade compliance policies for import/export operations in the APAC region.
  • Manage and mentor compliance personnel; handle hiring, goal setting, performance evaluations, and team projects.
  • Provide guidance on customs compliance to internal stakeholders.
  • Implement best practices and process improvements.
  • Manage daily shipment clearance operations for imports and exports.
  • Ensure data integrity related to tariff classification, country of origin, and regulatory information for Customs and Government Agencies.
  • Develop and implement audit programs to verify accuracy in customs declarations.
  • Supervise pre- and post-entry audits of customs declarations and logistics providers; ensure corrective actions for non-compliance.
