Job Description Summary The Trade Compliance Specialist will be responsible for Korea import and export activities and applications of FTA implementation with relevant communications with suppliers to get duty preferential benefits. This position will do management of inbound shipment customs clearance process with local custom broker of import products shipped from number of sourcing plants or distribution centers located in US, Europe and other countries. This person will ensure that all import and export declarations are accurate and in compliance with local import export regulations. And verify freights are properly billed and captured and check inbound shipments are under contracted conditions. And follow up claims with freight forwarders on damages. Job Description Responsibilities: Verify inbound shipping documents (BL, Invoice, Packing list, Country of Origin doc, inbound deliveries, freight invoices) with forwarders and suppliers, and follow-up of any discrepancies, missing documents or any price errors, origin confirmation, etc. Monitor inbound shipment status in Control Tower program Forward shipping documents to custom broker for import export clearance at Customs and relevant follow-ups and communications Verify overall inbound freight-in costs with vendors e.g. air/ocean freights with freight forwarders, bonded warehouse and handling costs, in-land trucking and brokerage to process payment with Shared Service Center finance teams. Verify duty amount to be paid is properly captured and process payment with Shared Service Center. Process inbound damage claims to freight forwarders Maintain import export declaration documentation as company record Ensure compliance of company policies and practices that are being followed internally and externally Qualifications: 1-3 years of import export activity working experience Proactive, detail oriented Basic understanding of supply chain and inbound process, import regulations of medical products Logistic vendor communication skill and experiences is preferred. Basic understanding of key business goals and relation of supply chain to those goals Knowledge of ERP systems, experience in SAP business environment is preferred. Required Skills Optional Skills .
