JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to help ensure Acron’s adherence to U.S. trade regulations while supporting the company’s global operations. The ideal candidate will possess a solid understanding of ITAR and EAR regulations and demonstrate project management capabilities. This role involves managing processes with general oversight, working cross-functionally, and influencing operational practices both internally and externally. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of relevant experience, OR
  • 10+ years of direct experience in trade compliance instead of a degree.
  • Proven experience with U.S. trade regulations (ITAR and EAR).
  • Familiarity with export license agreements, TAAs, and MLAs.
  • Working knowledge of HTS classification, DDTC registration, and freight operations.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to engage across departments and all levels of the business.
  • Experience using systems such as SAP, ACE, Microsoft Office, and web-based compliance platforms.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and submit export license applications (ITAR/EAR).
  • Review and approve export and import shipments for regulatory compliance.
  • Interface with customs brokers and freight forwarders to manage shipments and documentation.
  • 3Provide internal guidance on export/import classifications, licenses, and documentation requirements.
  • Conduct internal audits, risk assessments, and investigations to ensure compliance.
  • Train internal stakeholders on trade compliance policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with shipping, logistics, sales, legal, and engineering teams to solve problems and mitigate risk.
  • Maintain accurate records by U.S. Department of Commerce and Department of State requirements.
