JOB OVERVIEW

This is a dual-role position combining warehouse operations with front-line customer service and trade counter sales. We’re looking for a motivated and dependable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and deliver excellent service to our customers. Speaking Punjabi as a second langauage is essential.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Previous sales or trade counter experience (builders’ merchant or DIY background preferred)
• Punjabi as a second language is essential
• Warehouse experience and understanding of stock control processes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong planning, organisation, and time management skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure
• Forklift experience preferred (training can be provided)
• Driving licence preferred
• Computer literacy and comfort with using stock systems

• Assisting customers at the trade counter with enquiries and securing orders
• Making proactive sales calls to generate business
• Managing stock levels and placing orders as needed
• Planning and coordinating daily delivery schedules
• Ensuring efficient operations of Goods In, Goods Out, Returns, and Stock Control
• Picking and loading vehicles accurately for customer deliveries
• Unloading supplier deliveries
• General stock control, including daily stock checks and stocktaking
• Coordinating internal branch transfers
• Supporting warehouse functions and stepping in to pick orders when needed
• Helping to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse
• Assisting with deliveries when required
