Company Description Join Rexel/Kellihers Electrical, Ireland’s leading electrical wholesaler. We are recruiting a Trade Counter Salesperson for our Celbridge branch. You’ll join a busy, supportive team. The role is customer-focused and ideal for someone who thrives on helping professionals find the right products quickly and accurately. Job Description Role Purpose: The successful candidate will be responsible for handling goods and products within the warehouse, including picking, packing, and loading/unloading deliveries. They will also be required to carry out deliveries to customer and site locations as needed. The role includes providing product knowledge on electrical products and delivering excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. Key Accountabilities: Respond to sales enquiries either by phone or over the counter, provide advice, information, quotations and ensure maximum level of sales and margin. Offer alternative products, up-sell where possible, promote own brands and cross brand sales. Stay updated with product knowledge and branch costs and targets. Taking orders and preparing them. Carry out general warehouse duties, including goods in and goods out. Involvement in all aspects of the business on site. Any other duties as required. Essential Experience: Electrical wholesale experience and electrical product knowledge is an advantage. Experience working in a busy warehouse. Technical/Functional Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the confidence to deal professionally and courteously with customers and colleagues face-to-face and by phone. Strong organisation and time-management skills, able to plan workloads, meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks. Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills; willing to support colleagues and contribute to a positive branch culture. High attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to prioritise effectively and perform well in a fast-paced environment. IT literate, comfortable using email and standard business systems (e.g., order processing/stock control). Full, clean Irish driving licence and willingness to complete deliveries when required. Forklift licence and experience operating MHE (desirable).
