We provide the financial infrastructure that powers the global economy. As a leading provider of market infrastructure and tradable products, Cboe delivers cutting-edge trading, clearing and investment solutions to market participants around the world. We're building meaningful ways to support professional and personal development while strengthening the trust we've earned as a global market leader. Our teams are empowered to share ideas, actively pursue them and bring on a challenge. As champions of internal mobility and access to opportunity, we encourage our people to "go for it" and equip our managers with the training to coach their teams to the next level. We strive to provide employees a safe space to network, share ideas and create opportunities. Sound like the place for you? Join us! Role Overview The GTH Trade Desk Specialist (Singapore) is a role served by experienced financial technologists with responsibilities that include providing customer support and production-level operational oversight of one or more real-time low-latency Cboe exchange trading platforms — covering US equities, options, and futures asset classes. This position is part of Cboe's follow-the-sun support model for its US Global Trading Hours (GTH) markets, providing critical overnight and early-session coverage from Singapore that ensures continuous, high-availability operations across Cboe's trading infrastructure. The Singapore-based GTH Trade Desk Specialist is responsible for providing first-level world-class support in conjunction with solving problems, monitoring systems, and ensuring platforms maintain a healthy state — troubleshooting when they do not. Individuals in this role will act as a liaison between global and regional banks, buy-side firms, prime brokers, and vendors, as well as internal business and technology teams. GTH Trade Desk Specialists must be able to work independently with little to no direct supervision in performing their duties and will have many opportunities to provide input into the full lifecycle of projects and to directly impact the success of the Singapore team and the greater organization. Based on follow-the-sun coverage needs, work schedules may need to adjust throughout the year during daylight savings time to provide for overlapping support schedules with other regions, and shift starting times may be as early as 5–6AM SGT. Major Job Duties Customer Support & Training: Provide customers and sales support and training related to platform behavior, order processing behavior, market structure, and feature/functions. Onboard new clients, establish client access to platforms, provision new services, assist customers with establishing default settings (e.g., order entry, routing, entitlements, risk management) based on their usage of a given Cboe platform, and conduct API certification testing and support. System Monitoring & Platform Health: Perform daily system checks and periodically review audit logs to verify system changes. Monitor active production, disaster recovery, and certification/test environment systems and ensure Cboe platforms and systems are operating as expected. Take direct action to resolve known issues. Provide customers, regulators, and the business with live updates related to systems and trading issues during the GTH coverage window. Exchange Platform Support: Provide exchange platform support including equity listing process management; service cancel order requests; conduct and provide rulings for clearly erroneous and obvious error trade reviews; support voluntary price adjustments; service clearing support requests; execute real-time order routing changes; conduct futures settlement price verifications; and monitor auctions/rotations. Platform Change & Testing: Liaise with business associates, customers, and software engineers to define and design new features and functions. Test changes to systems and platform functionality prior to deployment and work with the software engineering team to resolve systemic issues. Lead and participate in internal and industry-wide weekend testing as needed. Subject Matter Expertise: Provide subject matter expertise in one or more areas critical to production operations support by mentoring and providing guidance to Cboe staff. Liaise with vendors and operators of facilities supporting critical financial infrastructure. Incident Response & Troubleshooting: Perform analytical functions to troubleshoot and explain complex technical and/or trading issues, conduct root cause analysis and impact analysis, and resolve customer issues related to Cboe's APIs (market data, order entry, web service). Participate in operational on-call support rotations as needed. Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilize SQL to conduct data mining against databases, a UNIX shell to examine log files, and Cboe proprietary tools to gather and analyze data, provide reports, and service the needs of customers and business teams. Procedures & Documentation: Update internal technical and operations procedures within the Operations team's Confluence space. Draft technical notices and updates to technical specifications as required. The ideal candidate has: Bachelor's Degree: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Business, FinTech, Financial Services, Communications, or a related discipline. 4+ Securities-related or technical support position 3+ years - UNIX Shell 1+ years - SQL 1+ years - Agile Development Methodology Communication & Language Skills: Fluency in English — both written and spoken — is required. Given this role's position within Cboe's APAC operational support unit and its function as a communication bridge to US-based teams during GTH market hours, the ability to communicate clearly and precisely in English — including during time-sensitive trading and incident support scenarios — is essential to effective follow-the-sun operations. Mandarin Chinese fluency is highly desirable. Korean fluency is desirable. Japanese fluency is desirable. Global Trading Hours (GTH) Awareness: Familiarity with or strong interest in US equities, options, and/or futures markets is a plus. This role directly supports Cboe's US GTH market operations, which extend beyond standard US trading sessions, making the Singapore time zone a strategically important operating window for continuous market coverage.
