Job Description ​WHAT YOU’LL DO​ As a Trade Development & Operations Lead with focus on Sustainability Regulatory, you’ll be responsible for defining, developing, and following-up on global Trade and Customs standards and guidelines based on best practices, while supporting the roll-out of new trade-related expansions and capabilities. The role involves close collaboration with regional Trade teams to monitor operational performance, support in operational excellence improvements, and resolve major issues in Customs and Trade processes. Additionally, this role will focus on ensuring compliance with evolving sustainability-related regulations by integrating them into global trade operations, updating internal processes, and enabling seamless, compliant implementation across markets. Key Responsibilities: Contribute with Trade and sustainability expertise on new initiatives as well as strategic and operational topics by close collaboration with key stakeholders Define, develop and follow-up global Trade standards and guidelines based on best practice including item classification for customs​, import/export operations, Product Classification, cross-border moves, sustainability compliance etc. Support in securing establishment of import structures and customs formalities in new markets, including trainings to the IMPEX department in new markets in close collaboration with Regional Trade teams while embedding sustainability considerations Support in securing establishment of import structures and customs formalities in new markets, including trainings to the Import and Export department in new markets Responsible to monitor and follow-up global Duty costs and KPIs, identifying trends and highlighting opportunities and issues Lead and ensure close collaboration with Logistics Regional Trade, incl. follow-up of Trade operational KPI’s, ensuring legal compliance with considerations to end-to-end flow, balancing service level, cost, sustainability and identifying global synergies Ensure compliance to latest legal requirements in Trade processes, by continuously monitoring and driving internal controls/audits of customs formalities and by close collaboration with Regional Trade teams Monitor global Trade operational risks and issues, also handling major issue and exception resolution of customs & trade formalities and processes, i.e. non-compliance and trade obstacles, including sustainability compliance risks Ensure smooth Trade and sustainability related roll-outs via close collaboration with Logistics business and tech implementation and roll-out teams Actively stay up-to-date on global logistics end-to-end operational status, KPIs, issues and risks, sustainability compliance risks Identify sustainability opportunities and challenges from a social, economic and environmental perspective Interpret and implement current and upcoming sustainability frameworks (e.g. EUDR, CBAM, ESPR, DPP, FLR) across global trade operations WHO YOU ARE​ A seasoned professional with solid experience from working in the field of Global and International trade, including areas such as customs formalities, compliance and international trade agreements. Expert in sustainability regulations affecting international trade and customs such as EUDR, CBAM, ESPR, DPP, FLD and similar. Skilled at supporting strategic initiatives and ensuring operational and regulatory compliance. A strong networker with existing relevant network of contacts in the field of Global Trade and other key stakeholders. Analytical and structured, with excellent planning and prioritization skills. A clear and inspiring communicator who brings others onboard with confidence. Persistent and solution-oriented, taking ownership to overcome challenges. Proactive and results-driven, unafraid to challenge the status quo. Well-organized and a forward-looking thinker.
