ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and meticulous Trade Finance Associate to join our finance team at our Great World City office. In this role, you will be responsible for the processing and settlement of a full range of documentary trade and trade finance transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and international trade finance rules. You will play a key role in supporting the company's global commodity trading operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Handle the processing and settlement of the full spectrum of Documentary Trade transactions including Letter of Credit (LC) Issuance, Advising, Confirmation, Negotiation, and Documentary Collections

• Perform document checking against LC terms and related ICC rules (UCP, ISBP, URC)

• Handle the processing of LC-related products such as Transferable LC, Back-to-Back LC, and LC Financing

• Process other Trade Finance products including Bill Discounting, Invoice Financing, and Forfaiting/Factoring transactions

• Monitor payment and acceptance of import/export bills and ensure timely acceptance; escalate to Management when necessary

• Coordinate with internal departments on the status of export negotiations and dispatch of export documents

• Ensure proper and accurate documentation of all transaction records

• Perform Sanctions screening and AML red-flag checks for trade transactions as required

• Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Manager
