Position Overview
We are seeking an analytical and detail-oriented Assistant Manager - Trade Finance in Dubai with a strong focus on Cash Flow and Liquidity Management. In this role, you will bridge trade operations and treasury functions, ensuring optimized working capital, seamless execution of trade instruments (Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Document Collections), and accurate cash flow forecasting to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Cash Flow & Working Capital Management:
- Monitor, analyze, and report on daily and weekly cash positions to ensure optimal liquidity for trade operations.
- Prepare accurate short- and long-term cash flow forecasts linked to upcoming trade settlements, import/export cycles, and facility maturities.
- Manage working capital efficiently, identifying opportunities to accelerate cash inflows and optimize payment cycles.
- Trade Finance Operations & Execution:
- Handle the end-to-end lifecycle of trade finance instruments, including Letters of Credit (LCs), Documentary Collections (DP/DA), and Bank Guarantees (BGs).
- Ensure strict compliance with international trade regulations (e.g., UCP 600, ISBP) and internal company policies to prevent discrepancies.
- Liaise closely with banks to negotiate competitive financing rates, processing fees, and credit line utilization.
- Banking & Facility Management:
- Maintain robust relationships with corporate banking partners to facilitate smooth transactions and facility renewals.
- Monitor utilization levels of existing trade and credit lines, ensuring sufficient headroom for business activities.
- Reconcile bank statements, trade loan accounts, and Nostro/Vostro accounts promptly to resolve discrepancies.
- Risk Management & Compliance:
- Mitigate foreign exchange (FX) and interest rate risks associated with cross-border trade transactions.
- Ensure adherence to AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and KYC compliance frameworks for all trade documentations.
- Perform variance analyses between projected cash flows and actual trade expenditures, reporting anomalies to senior management.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting
- Experience: 8 to 15 years of progressive experience Trading/Manufacturing Background in corporate finance, treasury operations, or trade finance, with specific exposure to cash flow planning with high volume payment handling.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and communication skills to deal with internal stakeholders and external banking partners.
- Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED11,000.00 per month
