TRADE FINANCE OPERATIONS ANALYST:

On behalf of our Banking client, Procom is searching for a Trade Finance Operations Analyst for an 11 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 4 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

TRADE FINANCE OPERATIONS ANALYST - JOB DESCRIPTION:

This role involves supporting the Trade Finance Operations team by managing the transaction lifecycle of documentary letters of credit and collections. The analyst will provide technical guidance and ensure compliance with international and internal regulations. The position requires interaction with stakeholders and focuses on risk management and process improvements.

TRADE FINANCE OPERATIONS ANALYST - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 3+ years of Trade Finance Operations experience, preferably with a Financial Institution
  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, International Business, or related discipline
  • Professional-level knowledge of AML and ATF procedures related to Trade Finance
  • Strong client-focus and ability to provide excellent service
  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Proven skills in risk management and control

TRADE FINANCE OPERATIONS ANALYST – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • CDCS, CSDG certification
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and other programming tools
  • Background in Trade Finance AML and ATF experience
  • Knowledge of ICC rules and regulations
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
  • Handle transaction lifecycle of documentary letters of credit and collections
  • Provide technical subject matter guidance to team members
  • Act as the primary contact for transactions and ensure client satisfaction
  • Support and build operations/business services knowledge
  • Analyze, organize, prioritize, and manage team workflow requirements
  • Lead small-scale initiatives related to team objectives
  • Act as the point of contact for clients and front office regarding Trade Finance products
