About this role: We are seeking a highly experienced professional to lead trade finance origination and advisory for the Continental European market, aligned with the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) strategy. This role combines deep product expertise with strong sales origination capabilities to drive growth, deliver tailored solutions, and strengthen client relationships across the region In this role, you will: Drive proactive origination of trade finance opportunities by identifying new prospects and initiating client engagement strategies. Develop and execute targeted sales plans to expand market share in the Continental Europe region, leveraging industry insights and competitive positioning. Lead client pitch processes, including preparation of tailored proposals and presentations to senior decision-makers. Maintain a robust pipeline of trade finance transactions, ensuring consistent conversion of opportunities into revenue. Collaborate with coverage and product partners to deliver integrated solutions that meet client needs and maximise wallet share. Provide trade product expertise and act as an advisor to senior leadership to develop the business in the Continental Europe market, in line with the CIB strategy. Understand clients’ businesses, strategic objectives, operational priorities, and financial positions within the context of individual deals and client relationships. Partner with client teams to independently work on client transactions and advise on peer transactions, including highly complex, larger, and multi-product financing opportunities, including analysing potential opportunities, structuring, proposing, and selling tailored financial solutions to clients, strategically leading internal coordination, and submitting transactions to management or independent risk for approval. Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership. Partner with product management functional partners to provide vision, direction, and expertise to leadership on evolving market needs to enable the innovation, design, and delivery of credit solutions more effectively, including large-scale, cross-functional, or companywide strategies. Serve as a mentor for less experienced team members. Represent Wells Fargo at external industry conferences (as required) Required Qualifications: Experience in secured or specialized lending sales, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education Fluent in English Job Expectations: Central Bank of Ireland Regulatory Requirements This role is designated as a Controlled Function 4 (CF-4) role under Part 3 of the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 (sections 20 and 22) and as such is subject to certain regulatory requirements. Individuals who perform a CF role must have a level of fitness and probity appropriate to the performance of that particular function and must comply with WFBI’s Fitness and Probity policy. WFBI are required to carry out prescribed due diligence to assess your fitness and probity, and to satisfy itself on reasonable grounds that you comply with the standards of fitness and probity prescribed by the Central Bank of Ireland pursuant to any code issued under section 50 of the Central Bank Reform Act. As a role carrying a CF-4 designation, the role holder will also be subject to the Common Conduct Standards the Central Bank of Ireland’s Individual Accountability Framework and will be required to take reasonable steps to ensure the Conduct Standards are met. The role holder will be required to possess and maintain the appropriate technical knowledge required to perform the role and to understand the regulatory obligations to which they are subject as a CF-4, to include, without limitation, the Conduct Standards and the Fitness and Probity Standards.
