Job Title: Trade Spend Analyst Job Description As a Trade Spend Analyst, you will be responsible for the administration of incoming data sources for trade spend deductions, ensuring alignment with trade programs for approval. You will manage the processing of deductions, prepare various upload files for bill-backs in Blacksmith, and maintain all deductions in the Blacksmith Deduction Management system. Your role will involve collaboration with accounts receivable, customers, brokers, and Business Development Managers to validate customer trade payment deductions and resolve trade spending issues to ensure accuracy. Responsibilities Administer incoming data sources for trade spend deductions and align back-up documents with trade programs for approval. Prepare upload files for bill-backs in Blacksmith and maintain deductions in the Blacksmith Deduction Management system. Collaborate with accounts receivable, customers, brokers, and Business Development Managers to validate customer trade payment deductions. Resolve trade spending issues and ensure accuracy in programs, accruals, and settlements. Create billbacks in Blacksmith to capture customer claims and validate deductions against entered trade programs. Document and analyze invalid customer deductions and work with relevant parties to collect invalid deductions. Track and record customer repayments accurately. Maintain deduction balance within monthly targets and manage aging profile. Provide guidance to the Sales team regarding proper program setup in Blacksmith. Assist in designing, building, and maintaining Excel models for large buying group rebate claims. Create AP bill-backs in Blacksmith and review claims for proper disposition. Investigate unauthorized claim amounts and ensure program information in Blacksmith is accurate. Essential Skills Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or at least five years of relevant experience. Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and formula development. 2+ years of experience in Deductions or Trade Spend Work Environment The position requires onsite training for approximately two months. Once training is complete, the position will transition to fully remote work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lombard, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $31.25/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
