About the Opportunity

  • Review and maintain the accounts receivable subledger for assigned customer accounts.
  • Process and reconcile trade spend and deductions in ERP and related financial systems.
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams to ensure proper supporting documentation is provided for trade spend and deduction processing.
  • Process credit notes across multiple business units related to trade spend activities.
  • Investigate deductions in the subledger and ensure timely resolution and clearing.
  • Run and analyze ERP reports to ensure trade spend deductions are attributed to the correct business units, brands, or categories.
  • Partner closely with credit and collections teams to verify deductions are accurately reflected.
  • Process intercompany transactions as required.
  • Work with customers and internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and outstanding items.
  • Follow up on and resolve invalid deductions and credit balances within established timelines.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for management review.
  • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
  • Maintain and update process documentation, desk procedures, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in system enhancements and user acceptance testing.
  • Perform ad hoc reporting and other assigned projects or tasks.

About You

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • 3–4 years of experience in a corporate setting, ideally in an industry with complex trade spend and deduction processes.
  • Experience in accounts receivable and deduction resolution.
  • Proficiency with a major ERP system (experience with SAP considered a strong asset).
  • Familiarity with trade spend or deduction management software (e.g., HighRadius) and CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) is an asset.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, with advanced Excel knowledge (pivots, VLOOKUP, and advanced formulas).
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and operate with a strong sense of urgency.
  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a mindset focused on process improvement.
