SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Experience as a Senior Qualified Tradesperson
  • Trade qualification and extensive relevant experience (HVAC, Electrical, Carpentry, or Plumbing etc.)
  • A team-focused, collaborative, and inclusive Leadership style
  • Ability to understand commercial elements of Trade Services and Operations such as cost estimates, quoting up large volumes of work and scheduling.
  • Professional communication skills and demonstrated stakeholder management experience
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel and Digital Work Order Management Systems
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Able to respond quickly to change and adopt a flexible/ innovative approach
  • White Card and Driver’s License
Responsibilities

The Trade Team Leader will assist in the management for the delivery of Planned and Reactive Maintenance solutions across HVAC R, Electrical, Hydraulic, Building and Fire Services, to Government contracts.
This role will specifically manage the delivery and technical compliance of all trade service lines across the region and provide direct support to the State Manager to increase our service offering and scope.

This role is based in Newcastle, NSW.

  • Managing the delivery of the contractual obligations ensuring that the contractual KPI’s are achieved
  • Lead and manage a team of qualified technicians
  • Efficient use of the technicians to deliver the services (Labour Utilisation Targets to be managed
  • Develop and maintain a strong customer relationships with internal client groups
  • Manage daily operations of the Technicians, review various reports and assist State Manager where required
  • Delivery of Maintenance Services to the agreed budget
  • Liaise with Facilities Managers to efficiently carry out the tasks and services required of BGIS under the terms of the Contract
  • Drive and influence a strong safety culture and ensure WHS policies and procedures are met, maintained and audited across the region
