About the role
France Soir is a busy French restaurant located in the heart of Melbourne, open midday to midnight daily.

Waiter duties include:

  • setting and arranging tables
  • taking reservations, greeting customers and presenting them with menus and beverage lists
  • recommending dishes, including daily specials and wines to complement food
  • taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff
  • serving food and beverages
  • clearing tables and returning dishes and cutlery to the kitchen
  • removing empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refilling and replacing glasses
  • collecting payments for sales and operating point of sales machines and cash registers
  • Cleaning the restaurant before and after service hours including checking stock levels, resetting tables etc.

About you
You’ll be an experienced waiter with at least 2 years’ experience working in a similar role, ideally, in France or Europe in a fast-paced and high-end French restaurant.
The ideal candidate will be French-speaking, with experience working with French cuisine.
Annual guaranteed earnings between $70,000 - $80,000 plus super.
