Description Lead with trading execution that shapes outcomes and strengthens the firm’s investment approach! Trader The primary purpose of the Investments Trader role is to execute accurate and timely trades in alignment with firm strategies, contributing directly to the efficiency and integrity of Annex's investment operations. This role is critical in minimizing trade errors, ensuring precise case and task completion, and effectively implementing firm-wide trading changes, thereby safeguarding client assets and supporting the firm's financial objectives. The Trader's commitment to continuous learning and collaboration fosters a positive team environment and strengthens the overall effectiveness of the investment operations department. What You’ll Do Portfolio Trading: Execute trades within client portfolios, including rebalancing, raising cash, and investing new funds. Tax Efficiency: Enhance the tax efficiency of client portfolios and carry out tax-loss harvesting strategies. Policy Support: Assist Wealth Managers and Client Service Managers with policies and procedures related to investment management. Asset Transition Planning: Recommend and implement transition plans to realign recently transferred assets in accordance with clients’ stated asset allocation strategy. Team Support: Work to assist other members of the Trading and Research teams. Compliance Collaboration: Collaborate with the Operations and Compliance departments to ensure the investment team adheres to firm policies and guidelines. Requirements Preferred Qualifications Proven Experience: 3+ years of research, trading, and experience executing client portfolio transactions in accordance with investment strategies, portfolio guidelines, and the firm’s fiduciary obligations. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Economics or related degree. Certifications: Series 65 or willingness to pursue. Industry Exposure: Experience working in a fast paced, team environment. Software: Proficiency with OMS and portfolio management systems (e.g., Orion, Tamarac, Addepar, Black Diamond, Bloomberg). Additionally, experience with major custodial platforms (e.g., Schwab, Fidelity, Pershing) is a bonus. Market Knowledge: Thorough understanding of the financial markets. Fiduciary Commitment: Passion for providing a fiduciary standard of care to clients. Team Approach: Positive, proactive, collaborative member of the trading team. Active learner, active participant in team meetings, positive contributor to team and contributes positively to team and firm morale and culture.
