Description We are seeking a Trader as part of our Trading Department Team at our Norfolk, VA wealth management firm. The candidate will be part of small team with a high level of responsibility in contributing to the future growth of the firm. This role provides a unique chance to be involved in various aspects of our investment activities, going beyond a typical execution trading position. In this position you will: Provide support to the Trading Department, as well as the Portfolio Managers Be responsible for the trading and oversight of client portfolios, with a focus on fixed income securities Contribute to our investment process through trade execution, operations, idea generation, and with an understanding of the financial markets. Monitor performance and make adjustments as needed to optimize client portfolios Effectively and proactively manage clients’ fixed income portfolios Support equity and fixed income trading efforts Regularly review client accounts to ensure alignment with client objectives and goals Present in firm meetings on performance, portfolio positioning, and market commentary Support the firm’s Investment Committee across various initiatives as directed Other duties as assigned Requirements The successful candidate will have: Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in business, finance, accounting, or equivalent 1 to 5 years of work experience in an investment related role CFA candidates preferred Ability to work well within a team and on a self-directed basis Capable of working well under pressure, organizing and managing multiple priorities in a high-performing environment where time management and attention to detail are critical Strong working knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel and Word Strong working knowledge of Bloomberg, FactSet, Morningstar, or similar financial aggregator preferred Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal Clearstead is committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and strongly encourages applications from minorities and women.
