We are looking for a Trades Assistant to work out of our Unanderra operation on a full-time basis. This is a role ideal for someone with good hand and tools skills. You will need to be reliable and available to work full time hours, looking for a long-term opportunity, and willing to train into a niche field.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

You will perform test, repair and fitting of various sized mining and industrial electrical cables in compliance with Australian Standards. This will involve working as part of an established workshop team and learning the end-to-end process of cable repair and manufacture.

Sounds simple? It will have its built-in challenges:

  • You will be working on a product that carries an electrical charge – you will need to produce quality work, every time.
  • You will be working with hand and cutting tools – so you will need to keep a sharp focus on your safety and attention to detail.
  • Our workshop can get quite busy – so sometimes you will be working to deadlines.
