What You’ll Be Doing

  • Working alongside our experienced Mechanical Tradespersons to strip, assess, and rebuild mineral processing equipment.
  • Preparing detailed inspection reports.
  • Following FLSmidth’s Quality Policies and Procedures to deliver work to the highest standard.
  • Refurbishing equipment to extend its life and reliability.
  • Performing a variety of hands-on tasks, from using power tools to preparing job sites.
  • Maintaining clean, safe work areas by removing hazards and managing waste responsibly.

What You Bring to the Role

  • A strong mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Ideally, 2+ years’ experience as a Trades Assistant in the mineral processing industry.
  • Current manual driver’s licence.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • High Risk Work Licence – LF and DG (Forklift & Dogman) preferred.
  • A professional work ethic, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
  • A positive, proactive approach to safety and problem-solving.
  • Physically fit and ready for hands-on work.

All candidates will need to pass a Pre-Employment Medical & Drug and Alcohol test.
