As an industry leader and employer of choice, we’re Made for More.      About the Role   We are seeking a TWO Trades Assistants  to support our Machine Rebuilds Workshop in Tomago. This position does not involve any hands-on work on CAT equipment. It is ideal for someone who enjoys coordination, organisation, and supporting trade teams by managing, sourcing, and distributing parts efficiently—without performing mechanical tasks.   In this role, you will work closely with Plant Mechanics, Boilermakers, Auto Electricians and other trade professionals, ensuring they have the correct parts and materials required to complete major machine rebuilds for customers across NSW & ACT.   Key Responsibilities Using internal software systems to identify, locate and issue parts within the workshop. Coordinating and delivering parts to trade teams in a timely manner. Preparing and organising work bays ahead of scheduled rebuilds. Perform scheduled workshop maintenance inspections, keeping parts storage areas tidy and compliant. Operating forklifts and workshop machinery (as required and licensed). Prepare goods for transport and fill in required documentation. Deliver and collect maintenance materials from offsite suppliers.   Lifestyle Roster - Work Only Half the Year! Complete all night shifts in one swing every three weeks. Roster pattern: 5D4O, 5N4O (15 working days out of 28). Day shift: 06:00-18:30 / Night shift: 18:00-06:30. UP TO $37.00 P/HR + $56.00 (OT)* Rates above are a guide only, and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience   Essential Criteria Valid Driver’s Licence is essential. A current HRW Forklift Licence is essential. Strong organisational and time‑management skills. Great communication and teamwork abilities. High level of attention to safety and quality. Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. A positive, proactive attitude.    Why WesTrac?
