As a Tradesperson (Welder), you will:

• Construct, repair and fit metal parts and structures
• Maintain, service and repair Council vehicles, plant, buildings and facilities
• Read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications to determine job requirements
• Fabricate and assemble metal structures using welding, bolting, riveting, brazing, or soldering techniques
• Perform finishing work such as grinding, sanding, cleaning, and painting metal components
• Assist mechanics with servicing and repairs of vehicles and plant equipment
• Undertake general maintenance tasks including basic carpentry, concreting, and drainage
