With at least one year of experience in a data analytical role, they excel in teamwork and communication. Additionally, they bring a solid knowledge of IT systems and quantitative modelling experience in financial or commodity markets.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Flogas Energy is seeking a highly motivated and analytical Trading Analyst to join our team. This critical role involves trading and managing the risk associated with a portfolio of renewable energy generation and customer supply positions. The successful candidate will play a key part in forecasting both short-term and long-term electricity and gas demand.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and maintain accurate short-term and long-term forecasts for electricity and gas demand, ensuring alignment with market conditions and customer needs.
  • Actively trade a portfolio of renewable electricity generation assets and customer demand positions, optimizing financial outcomes and managing associated risks.
  • Analyse market data and trends to develop robust forecasting models, trade execution strategies, and efficient trading processes.
  • Regularly communicate developments in the wholesale energy market to relevant commercial and financial teams, providing insights that inform decision-making.
  • Engage in project work as required, contributing expertise to cross-functional initiatives and supporting the continuous improvement of trading operations.
