Tower Research Capital, a high-frequency proprietary trading firm founded in 1998, seeks a Trading Operations Engineer to join one of our trading teams. Responsibilities Monitoring high-volume live trading and portfolio risk Contributing to the automated trading operations codebase Managing ongoing projects with various Tower support teams Coordinating software and hardware upgrades Applying programmatic solutions to scale and expand trading operations Resolving discrepancies with trading positions, broker statements, and internal applications Qualifications The ideal candidate will have relevant experience in a related field, and a bachelor’s degree Proficient scripting skills in Python and an intermediate understanding of a Linux environment Exceptional analytical abilities, strong communications skills, and experience making data-driven strategic decisions Strong working knowledge of PNL and Risk reporting applications Familiarity with current market structure and regulatory developments Ability to analyze and optimize order entry and market data exchange connectivity Ability to comprehend and diagnose problems in complex real-time systems with minimal guidance Capacity to work equally well independently and as a member of a team In-depth understanding of trading technology and fluency in technical concepts Strong multitasking and context-switching abilities across a diverse and fast-paced environment Advanced problem-solving abilities Benefits Tower is headquartered in New York City, and has offices around the globe.
