Job Description Looking for Traffic Control Flaggers: We are looking to hire a Washington State Certified dedicated, observant Flagger to monitor, control and direct the flow of traffic around road construction sites using sign, hand, and flag signals. The Flagger's responsibilities include informing motorists of possible detour routes, understand, and apply safe traffic control practices and when necessary be able to direct emergency vehicles safely through construction zones as required. To be successful as a Flagger, you should have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team as safety is our highest priority. A great Flagger should demonstrate excellent knowledge of state traffic regulations as well as have exceptional observation skills. Flagger Responsibilities: Using hand signals, paddle, and direction signs to direct traffic around road construction sites. Communicate with other flaggers using hand-held radios to direct two-way radio traffic onto a single lane. Inform the construction crew of any traffic issues that may affect their safety. Appropriately positioning warning and detour signs around construction sites. Setting up advanced warning signs, barricades, and traffic cones along construction sites to cordon off work zones. Assist in removing all signs, barricades, and traffic cones upon completion of construction work. Assisting the construction crew in the removal of debris and hazardous materials. Attend regularly scheduled safety team meeting prior to work. Qualifications Driving required role, must have a valid in-state driver’s license Must have a Washington State Flaggers Certification or able to obtain one Ability to stand for 8-12 hours a day and lift 50-60 lbs Experience driving, working in various weather conditions and traffic settings Must pass pre-employment screenings, including a drug test as this is a safety sensitive role Additional Information What We Offer: Competitive Pay: Protector 1: $21.30 - $22.05 Benefits: Paid Time Off (PTO), Paid Holidays, EAP, Health Insurance, 401k Recognition and Rewards: Competitive referral incentives and recognition for your dedication and hard work.
