Description
PRIME AE Group, Inc. seeks a Traffic Design Engineer II in Columbus, OH. Duties: Traffic Studies: Perform Crash analysis and safety studies. Perform Corridor and intersection analysis. Develop traffic signal timing and phasing. Conduct traffic signal warrant studies and roundabout analysis. Perform capacity analysis and congestion mitigation. Perform queueing analysis. Assist with developer plan review and traffic impact analysis review. Develop maintenance of traffic alternatives analysis. Perform computer software modeling and simulation. Prepare Traffic Engineering Reports. Traffic Design: Conduct traffic control device inventory and design. Design work zone traffic control. Assist with the development of improvement concepts. Develop project deliverables including plans, specifications, and cost estimates. Telecommuting is permitted. * Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering plus 2 years of experience. * Requires 2 years of experience in traffic engineering in a professional setting. * Requires 2 years of experience working with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD. * Requires any amount of familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, Highway Safety Manual, and ADA regulations. 40 hours/week.
