Nau mai, haere mai ki a Fulton Hogan | Join us at Fulton Hogan We’re looking for a Traffic Management Operative (Night Shift) to join our Auckland team. This is a hands-on role supporting crews that deliver good work across the network, from road maintenance and renewals to construction, surfacing, drainage, utilities, and other civil works where safe, effective traffic management is critical. Mō te tūranga | About the role You’ll help keep our people, road users and worksites safe by assisting with temporary traffic management during night works, in line with current codes of practice. It’s a role for someone who’s practical, switched on, and ready to work as part of a team that takes safety seriously and backs each other to get the job done right Ngā kawenga matua | Key responsibilities Work with the STMS and site crews to set up, maintain and pack down temporary traffic management safely and correctly. Read and follow traffic management plans, site requirements and work instructions. Carry out pre-start checks and make sure traffic management equipment is placed and used properly. Monitor the site during shift to keep traffic flowing safely and respond to changes in site conditions. Identify hazards, escalate issues early, and stop work if something is unsafe. Report incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions so we can keep improving. Kei te kimi mātou i tētahi e whai ana i ēnei pūkenga | We’re looking for someone with A current TMO practising or non-practising qualification. Previous experience in a traffic management role, including site set-ups and pack-downs. A full Class 1 licence. The ability to work night shift and outdoors in varying conditions. Preferably worked in motorway closures installation and pick up. Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others on site.
