Description
Responsibilities Conduct Traffic Toolbox and rollcall to the traffic personnel at site to ensure adequate numbers of workers (e.g. Flagman, Traffic Management Team, and Emergency Response Team) Explain to the subcontractor, vendors, supervisors, and workers on the project requirement and ensure that the intended all activities and expectations are clearly conveyed and understood. Implement the required traffic management activities as per client requirement and ensure that all activities fully comply with the standard guidelines and approved traffic management drawings. Conduct weekly compliance checklist to ensure standard and approved guidelines are sustained throughout the project duration / routine works. Records to be documented and submitted to relevant parties (internal & external). Inspect the site routinely to assist in continual improvement initiatives and guide sub ordinates in carrying out their duties. Substantial time to be spent in each site to review and propose improvement processes. Conduct On-Job-Training sessions on safety aspects and provide guidance and expert opinion on current and future requirement. Existing procedures are to be continuously reviewed for further improvement and update. Conduct progress meeting with subcontractors & vendors when required. Document and record information gathered during meeting for onward submission to Traffic Manager, Region. Prepare and submit the required supporting documents (i.e. Site Diary, Joint Measurement Sheet, Weekly Report etc.) for claim purposes within the stipulated time frame. High compliance on SOP and company safety act. Review work program/TMP for all works related to lane closure before any activation of lane closures. Requirements Minimum Diploma in Civil Engineering, Traffic Management, Construction Management, or a related field. Certifications in Traffic Management or Safety Standards (such as OSHA, NIOSH, or local traffic management certifications) would be an added advantage. 3-5 years of experience in traffic management or highway maintenance roles.
