Traffic Porter Air Niugini is seeking to recruit a suitably qualified and experienced person to fill in the position of Ramp Porter within Airside Operations Department – Ground Operations based in Port Moresby. The position is responsible for the safe and accurate loading and unloading of aircraft; timely turnaround of each flight ensuring that all ground handling is compliant to regulatory and company requirements to meet on time performance Specific Responsibilities include: Ensure timely, safe and accurate loading of aircraft as per LIR issued Prompt and safe unloading of cargo and baggage on inbound flights and delivery to arrival baggage collection area. Timely and accurate baggage and cargo makeup in preparation for uplift on outbound flights. Ensuring and setting up of all equipment for use for inbound and outbound flights are set and serviceable. Immediately reports any mishandled baggage or cargo to the Supervisor on duty. Ensure that the Terminal and surrounding environment is well kept, clean and tidy. Carry out any other duties that maybe directed by the Supervisor or senior officer on duty. Ensure that Ramp equipment is stored away safely after each day’s operation is over. We are currently looking for people who: Have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills so as to meet the needs of customer as well as those of the airline. Loyal, diligent and determined personal and must be prepared to undergo personal development training programs. Are disciplined in their attitude and approach to work, compliant with rules and regulations and mature in their acceptance of responsibility. Are motivated to reflect their enjoyment of the job in the execution of their duties. Experience & Qualification required.
