Job Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Traffic & Road Safety Engineer to join our team in Lusail, Qatar. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing traffic management strategies and road safety measures to enhance transportation efficiency and reduce accidents in our rapidly growing city. Conduct traffic impact studies and safety audits for new and existing road infrastructure projects Analyze traffic flow patterns and develop solutions to optimize traffic movement and reduce congestion Design and implement road safety measures, including signage, markings, and traffic calming devices Utilize traffic simulation software to model and evaluate proposed transportation improvements Collaborate with urban planners, architects, and other stakeholders to integrate traffic and safety considerations into development projects Prepare detailed reports and presentations on traffic studies, safety assessments, and recommended improvements Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of implemented traffic management and safety measures Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in traffic engineering and road safety Ensure compliance with local and international traffic regulations and standards Participate in public meetings and stakeholder consultations to address traffic and safety concerns Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field 20 years of experience in traffic engineering or road safety Proficiency in traffic simulation software, AutoCAD, and GIS Strong skills in data analysis and statistical tools Experience with traffic impact studies and safety audits Knowledge of traffic flow analysis, road safety principles, and transportation planning Familiarity with traffic signal design and optimization techniques Understanding of Qatar's traffic regulations and infrastructure development plans Excellent project management and organizational skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Professional Engineer (PE) certification preferred Additional certifications in road safety or traffic management are a plus Additional Information Business Line: Transportation Type of contract: Project Contract Service Line: Inter - Urban Transport Region: Middle East and South Asia Job Family: Project Management Profession: Contract management
