KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
THE ROLE
Maintains and monitors the daily operation of transportation management systems for the road network, including light rail transit (e.g., traffic signal control, pre-emption, advanced traffic management). Researches, develops, implements, and evaluates signal operating designs and signal timing and control strategies. Undertakes analytics/simulation to evaluate road network operations. Assists to prepare intelligent transportation systems hardware and application specifications. Prepares signal equipment designs for capital projects.
