Description Job Title: Trail Maintenance Grooming Operator Level 2 – INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY Type of Position: Full-Time, Seasonal (Temporary) Schedule: Short-term project work (Fall 2024) Pay: $24.00-27.00/hr. Job Posting Deadline: November 18, 2025 Summary The objective of this position is to learn to operate a snow cat safely and efficiently. Employee will be trained in the fundamentals of snow surface preparations, navigating our mountain, communicating with other departments, and how to properly care for the equipment they operate. Every employee is responsible for providing a positive experience for our guests and employees, with safety and fun as our top priorities. Essential Functions Operate snowcat safely to groom and maintain mountain slopes and surfaces Operator training hands on and classroom. Basic and preventive maintenance, cleanliness, and up-keep of equipment to keep in safe working order Writing work orders, completing pre/ post operation inspections and grooming logs. Requirements High School diploma or equivalent. 1-2 Seasons Experience grooming ski slopes with Snow Cats. Possession of (or ability to obtain) a valid Colorado Driver’s License, with an acceptable driving record. Ability to recognize grade and slope changes visually and by feel. Capability to identify mechanical problems and communicate them in written and verbal form. Ability to clock in and out daily on a computer kiosk. Ability to communicate with text/ e-mail. Ability to communicate clearly (speak and understand) in English – verbal and written communications. Ability to work at high altitudes, outdoors in extreme weather conditions. Skiing or Snowboarding experience. Familiarity with general industry OSHA regulations. Sound, basic Snow Cat mechanical skills. What’s in it for You? Free Loveland Employee Season Pass.
