Contact our team of in-house Recruiters: 1-866-8-TRIMAC Pay Details Starting at $28.00 per hour Schedule Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on trucks and trailers while utilizing personal safety equipment as required. Move trucks and trailers in and out of shop for maintenance Assist the shop foreman Scheduling & updating customers on work performed Assist with inventory/parts orders Create estimates Open repair orders and charge the appropriate parts to the repair order Perform tire inspections/appropriate paperwork to company standards Performs shop clean-up and housekeeping responsibilities as well as other miscellaneous related duties as assigned. Inspects and maintains basic vehicle/accessorial worthiness including proper fuel levels and tire air pressure, fluid levels, brakes, lights, and safety equipment and submits reports indicating condition of equipment. Comprehend and perform Driver Vehicle Inspection Repair (DVIR) process Diagnose and repair: Tire/wheel, Brakes & Air Systems, Clutch & Linkage, Mud flaps/hangers Qualifications Must have a valid driver’s license Must have a mechanical background Chemical trailer experience preferred Strong leadership skills Ability to provide own basic hand tools Basic computer skills Ability to read and comprehend service manuals Knowledge of tools and equipment used in the shop to repair and maintain company equipment A basic knowledge of tractor and trailer maintenance Knowledge of D.O.T. regulations and out-of-service parameters for tractors, trailers, and accessorial equipment. Knowledge of proper procedures for handling and disposal of hazardous waste materials.
