We’re hiring a Trailer Repair Technician – Service Truck to support our expanding mobile service operations in West Michigan. This is a field-based, independent role—no daily reporting to a shop. You’ll travel locally to customer sites performing trailer repairs and maintenance using a fully equipped company service truck. What You’ll Do Diagnose and repair semi-trailers at customer locations Perform welding, fabrication, and structural repairs Dismantle and reassemble trailer components using hoists and power tools Perform DOT and safety inspections Maintain and inspect your service truck and equipment Accurately document labor, parts, and service reports Participate in an on-call rotation (approximately one week per month) What You’ll Bring High school diploma or GED 2–5 years of trailer or heavy-duty equipment repair experience preferred Welding and fabrication skills strongly preferred One ASE or Michigan State Certification required Your own basic hand tools Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to pass drug screen, physical, and lift test Physical Requirements Lift/carry up to 30 lbs frequently Lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally Hourly Pay (Guaranteed): $26.00–$30.00 per hour to start, based on experience Commission Option (High Performer Track): Start at 30% of the invoiced labor Increases monthly up to 35% cap Most technicians earn more on commission than hourly More than half of our service technicians earn $100,000+ annually through our commission program.
