OVERVIEW

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated HGV Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy goods vehicles, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Your expertise will contribute to the overall performance of our fleet, providing excellent service to our customers.

Service, repair & maintain trailers to a high standard within the company guidelines. and to conform to all current mandatory & EHS legislation.
To ensure all service documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
To report up to the Fleet Manager any defects relating to the equipment which could suggest a manufacturing issue with any of the components.
MOT preparation
Performing preventative maintenance measures on trailers.
Inspecting, servicing, and replacing trailer parts, including tyres.
Checking and repairing the brake, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Testing all systems and equipment for performance issues.
Ensuring that trailers meet the Department of Transport road safety requirements.
