Your mission We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. The role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in investment or financial services. As a Trainee Accountant, you will assist in the preparation and review of financial reports and statements for investment companies, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Specifically, you will: Assist with the daily, weekly, and monthly accounting including bookkeeping, assistance in the preparation of accounting reports and Annual Accounts. Support the production of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for assigned entities. Reconcile fund cash, assets, investment and share capital positions records. Maintain fund accounting records in accordance with internal controls and procedures. Work with senior accountants and corporate administrators to resolve discrepancies. Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries. Help prepare investor reports and statements. Ensure adherence to fund accounting policies and regulatory standards. Your profile Degree-level education in an Accounting or Business Studies related degree (preferable). Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Eagerness to learn and develop within the financial services industry. Ability to work in a team. Adaptable and flexible attitude.
