Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our team on a trainee basis. This role is ideal for someone starting their career in accountancy and eager to gain practical experience while studying AAT or CIMA. You will support our accountants with bookkeeping and accounts preparation, while also assisting with administrative tasks to support our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with bookkeeping, data entry, and reconciliations
  • Support the preparation of management accounts and financial reports
  • Help with VAT, payroll, and CIS returns as needed
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Provide admin support for clients, such as completing and submitting paperwork to various institutions
  • Communicate with team members and clients in a professional manner
  • Adapt quickly between tasks and clients, ensuring attention to detail throughout

Requirements:

  • Currently studying AAT or CIMA (or planning to start soon)
  • Strong attention to detail – accuracy is essential
  • Good communication skills and ability to work with multiple clients
  • Willingness to learn and take guidance from senior staff
  • Flexible approach to working hours and tasks (both accountancy and admin)
  • Local candidate (must be able to attend occasional on-site training)
