THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Trainee Advice Session Supervisor to join our Advice Team at Citizens Advice Diss, Thetford and District. This is a developmental role designed to support your progression into a fully qualified Advice Session Supervisor. PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

To support the delivery of high-quality advice services while learning how to supervise, support, and develop volunteers and staff. You will work closely with experienced supervisors and the Advice Services Manager to build your skills in supervision, quality assurance, and service coordination. You will also work on and oversee a project aimed at connecting people over the age of 50 with the services they need and liaising with partners and stakeholders.

· Shadow and assist in daily adviser briefings and case checking.
· Participate in weekly supervisor meetings and monthly QAA reviews.
· Support adviser reflections annually, with guidance from experienced staff.
· Learn to manage advice session logistics, including diary management and staffing coordination.

· Support the induction and training of Trainee Advisers, including scheduling and monitoring progress.
· Contribute to the implementation of new ways of working, with mentoring from the Advice Team.
· Attend team meetings to learn about service development and contribute ideas.
· Assist in resource monitoring, including stationery, petty cash, and IT support requests.
· Develop technical knowledge in generalist and specialist advice areas through ongoing training.
· Support fundraising activities as part of your wider development within the organisation.
