Do you want to get your boot in the door of the transport industry? We are offering a high-quality, heavy vehicle Driver course where you will be trained and receive mentorship in automatic Concrete trucks and will get paid to obtain your Heavy Rigid License. We will provide you with all uniforms and safety equipment.
After obtaining your license, you will be part of a further two weeks of on-the-job training with one of our Driver Trainers. During this time, you will learn more about our business, including Concrete delivery, Safety, Environment and Quality requirements and Concrete technical information, whilst getting more experience truck driving.
Opportunities will be available to be based out of one of our 4 Adelaide metro concrete plants: Port Adelaide, Lonsdale, Smithfield and Magill. We are also considering applications for candidates to be based out of our Angaston concrete plant.

What you will bring to the team:
We are looking for passionate people who are confident and excited to take on a new challenge.

No truck licenses are required for this position! We will provide you with all the training and support for you to get an HR license. You don’t need experience, but you will need the following:

• Hold an Australian Driver’s License for a minimum of 2 years (automatic or manual) and a good driving record!
• Pass a pre-employment commercial driver medical which includes a drug test
• Be able to meet the criteria for licensing, which includes signing a declaration about medical, interlock devices and outstanding fines and disqualifications
• To succeed, you will be an enthusiastic and hardworking individual, who is reliable and honest.
• You will work well under pressure and remain calm and optimistic during challenging situations. When driving, circumstances will sometimes change without notice, and the best drivers can make these changes in their stride and respond rationally.
• Crucial to your success is your willingness to learn on the job. You will also have a strong focus on safety procedures, have excellent time management skills, and be able to follow regulations, and legal obligations.
• Moreover, you will build strong working relationships with others, communicate in a friendly way and provide a high level of customer service when visiting sites.

Our trucks are all fitted with active safety technology coupled with inherent passive safety features, making them the safest trucks in the Australian market.

The Recruitment Process

• If you meet the minimum criteria, you will receive a link to complete a video interview. The sooner this is completed the better!
• Successful applicants will be invited to attend an assessment day where you will learn all about our company and what a day in the life of an Agitator Driver is like. There will only be one assessment day, so please make yourself available to attend. The exact date for this will be listed in the introduction to the video interview
• Chosen candidates will be booked in for a pre-employment medical as soon as possible
• You will be starting as a Trainee HR Truck Driver in late October. We are also open to later start dates as we realise not everyone can start straight away.
