TRAINEE ARBORICULTURAL CONSULTANT (ARBORICULTURAL TECHNICIAN)

Location: Barkisland, West Yorkshire (primarily office-based with flexibility for home working)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Starting Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience

REQUIREMENTS

• Enthusiastic and willing to learn with some prior experience in arboriculture or related fields.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience with CAD desirable.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent attention to detail and willingness to undertake site work.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Assist with site surveys to record data on trees, shrubs, and other relevant site features.
• Enter and manage technical data for use in reports.
• Prepare documentation using JCA templates (Word, Excel and CAD).
• Contribute to mapping and plan preparation.
• Develop tree and plant identification skills, alongside knowledge of pests and diseases.
• Provide administrative and technical support to senior consultants.
