Overview Element Environmental Laboratory has an opportunity for an Asbestos Trainee Analyst to join the team within our Deeside Laboratory. The department undertakes asbestos identification and quantification in soils and ACMs under ISO 17025 accreditation Element Environmental Laboratory Deeside is the largest analytical chemistry laboratory within the Element Group and the market leading UK laboratory undertaking the testing of soils, waters, wastes, oils, NAPLs, ambient air, soil vapours and gases from all over the world. The laboratory undertakes high volume routine analysis as well as offering bespoke method development, technical support and hydrocarbon forensic interpretations to enhance the support we can deliver. The laboratory has an international reputation for service excellence and supports clients that require a higher level of technical expertise, reliability in data quality and seamless project management from sample collection to timely delivery of data in the format of choice Responsibilities To be trained in the P401 qualification - analysis of soil and bulk materials for the presence of asbestos Analyse soil and bulk materials for the presence and of asbestos Follow procedures and ensure the quality standard is met Participate in quality assurance audit programme Keep the laboratory safe, clean and tidy Skills / Qualifications A team player Organised and motivated Excellent attention to detail Knowledge of UKAS practices and procedures would be advantageous but not essential Ability to work independently and adhere to deadlines #LI-JD2 Diversity Statement At Element, we always take pride in putting our people first.
