Job Title: Trainee Laboratory Analyst
Location: Silverdale
Salary: £23,890 (Increasing once qualified)
Hours: 37.5 Monday to Friday (1 in 4 weekends during busy periods)

Due to expansion, continued growth and recent major contract wins, we are looking for Trainee Laboratory Analyst to join the team.

· Commit to an 8–12 week training programme working towards your P401
· Attend the 3-day P401 training course and sit the P401 exam
· Shadowing, and learning on the job in our Lab from our experienced qualified Laboratory Analysts, striving to become qualified and competent in the below:
o To competently undertake the analysis of bulk material samples for asbestos content as per accredited company procedures
o To work with and assist colleagues in terms of prioritizing workload and managing sample KPI’s with the Laboratory
o To accurately record test observations and data in relation to the sample analysis to enable the accurate production of factual test reports in hardcopy or electronic format
o To ensure that quality control and assurance schemes are completed as required as part of the maintenance of authorisation status and UKAS accreditation
o To ensure that internal customer queries and requirements are dealt with in an efficient and professional manner
o To ensure that equipment is properly used and any defects are reported immediately,
o Undertake additional delegated responsibilities as authorised by management
