Description

We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our surveying team as a trainee asbestos surveyor, eventually undertaking the BOHS P402 exam and becoming fully qualified. As a trainee surveyor you will receive the on site training that you will need to become a surveyor, both practical and written elements.

The successful candidate will be trained in the following areas:

  • Sampling and Surveys of asbestos in buildings (Management, Refurbishment and Demolition); HSG264
  • Reassessments of asbestos materials in buildings
  • Ensuring appropriate records are maintained
  • Risk assessments
  • UKAS requirements
  • Relevant legislation

The role of a surveyor involves going into a premises to establish whether there is asbestos present and if so to advise the client on the best course of action. This is a technical role which will require you to work in a variety of buildings, liaise with clients on site, capture data and produce a report. Ideally you will have,

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to pass exams.
  • Knowledge of buildings and construction
  • Proven experience of working within a team.
  • Customer focused approach to work.
  • Experience or qualifications in either construction or environmental sectors would be highly beneficial.

Candidates must hold a valid UK driving license., a DBS check will be required.
