OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a Trainee Asphalt Plant Operative to join our team in Ballycoolin.
As a Trainee Asphalt Plant Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing of various asphalt products according to mix design and customer jobsite specification.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU…

  • A willingness to learn within the materials industry
  • A valid UK driving licence
  • Preferred but not essential:
  • Experience working in a quarry or construction materials manufacturing environment
  • Experience operating plant or machinery in construction/quarry or similar industry
  • Familiar with operating a manufacturing plant using computer control system
  • Experience and competency to carryout routine and planned basic maintenance
  • Ability to complete housekeeping/cleaning around plant
Responsibilities
  • Assisting to perform pre and post inspections
  • To ensure environmental standards are maintained and prevent spillages
  • To ensure the vehicle is driven legally with courtesy to other road users
  • To assist to ensure product quality is maintained
  • Assisting to complete daily checks and maintenance of the vehicle
  • To fuel the vehicle daily
  • To drive in a fuel-efficient manner at all times
  • To assist with repairs during breakdowns and complete preventative maintenance.
  • Assisting to inspect and clean the vehicle daily and report faults to supervisors.
  • To comply with health and safety procedures and policies to ensure the role is carried out without risk to self and others.
  • To carry out any other reasonable duties as required.
