About the Role As part of the Abion team, you’ll collaborate with our international network of IP professionals, working on a diverse portfolio of cases and clients. You’ll play a crucial role in maintaining our high standards and delivering exceptional legal services. As a Trainee Attorney, you will begin your journey within Trademark and Intellectual Property. This entry-level position is designed for individuals who are passionate about IP law, trademarks, and brand protection and who want to learn from some of the best attorneys in the industry. Key Responsibilities Under the supervision of experienced Attorneys, you will gain hands-on experience in legal research, case administration, and client service, while developing the technical, analytical, and procedural skills, supporting a variety of international clients. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Assist in conducting legal and trademark searches, analyzing facts, regulations, case law, and precedents relevant to client matters Support senior colleagues by preparing summaries of your research and helping to identify potential risks or issues Maintain and organize case files, records, and deadlines using internal systems, ensuring that all case information is complete and accurate Assist in tracking your own hours and contribute to the team’s overall efficiency in client invoicing In this role, you will handle sensitive and confidential client information. You are expected to maintain the highest standards of professionalism, integrity, and discretion. What We're Looking For We believe that you are currently enrolled in or recently completed a law degree or equivalent qualification within a relevant jurisdiction. You have a strong interest in intellectual property and trademark law with excellent analytical and research skills, and attention to detail. To succeed in this role you should have strong written and verbal communication abilities, be proactive, organized, and curious, with a willingness to learn and adapt as well as have a collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team. You are probably interested in digital tools and how they can support you and the company to work more efficiently, and comfortable learning new systems and tools.
